The Baro V2.0 - Black

$118.50 USD - $122.50 USD Sold Out

The barong tagalog originated from the Tagalog word baro, that means “shirt”, worn by both men and women prior to Spanish colonization. During the Spanish era, the baro evolved from common working class attire into the current Barong Tagalog that has become known as the Philippines tuxedo.

Our custom cut and sew barong titled, "The Baro" is an every day modern day barong that can be professional enough for the office, cool enough to wear during a date night, chill enough to rock lounging around, and formal enough for a wedding and upscale events. Pair The Baro with jeans, chinos, slacks, or shorts. Ladies can rock with a belt as a dress or layer with tights/biker shorts. But now with a Mandarin Collar!

The iconic embroidery is minimal and lightweight. Legend has stated that the Spanish forced Filipinos to wear the see through Barong to reveal any hidden weapons, so we hid it for you and created the embroidery with BOLO KNIVES! Along the embroidery we added a running set of 8 ray stars representing the Philippine sun. Other details include:

- Poly/cotton blend
- Mandarin Collar
- A slightly longer silhouette with a back scoop tail
- Pearl buttons
- Woven Kampeon book logo tag on the side seam
- Woven inside label

True to size, ladies size down. For EXACT sizing, please reference the size chart.
